As part of this exciting expansion programme Upperton is looking to recruit additional Project Managers to lead our client focused projects.
The Role:
This is a great opportunity to join our Project Management team. In this key client facing role, the successful candidate will lead the co-ordination of the internal project teams from project initiation through to project completion. The successful candidate will be the principal client contact throughout the programme including clinical trial manufacturing activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage, plan & coordinate multiple projects from project kick off through to project completion to ensure delivered to agreed quality standards, met client specifications/expectations within the agreed timeline & budget
- To act as the main point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle & communicate client interaction to Business Development & multi-disciplinary Technical Teams as required
- Lead internal & customer facing project meetings – taking notes & actions to support the project progress
- Create & deliver project communication plans, status updates, schedules & invoice milestones
- Work closely with the technical teams to accurately scope out change orders for any changes to projects
- Ensure the project team are informed of any project or operational issues or risks & escalate to the Associate Director, Project Management for leadership escalation
- Create project plans, update trackers & documents required to run the day-to-day activities of a PM role
This role requires you to work effectively with colleagues across all functional areas to achieve objectives whilst maintaining good working relationships.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Prince2 and or APM
- Effective project management skills & ability to manage projects, milestones, project teams & stakeholders
- Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) & proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to effectively contribute within a team environment & work on own initiative
- Excellent organisation & planning skills with the ability to work flexibly to meet business needs
- Preferred experience in a pharmaceutical or scientific project background
