The Role

Working as part of the Business Operations team based at Nottingham Science and Technology Park site in Nottingham, you will be part of a busy group primarily working on client proposals and cost generation for all types of projects.

As a proposal writer you will need to generate high quality proposals within the proposed deadlines and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for tracking proposals and ensuring timely maintenance of the data related to the opportunities in Salesforce. The job will also involve feeding into the opportunity pipeline and commercial reporting for the business.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Generate high quality proposals, ballparks and costing documents to support projects. 
  • Generate change order documents and associated costing.
  • Manage proposal/change order reviews with technical team internally.
  • Keep proposal status and tracking up to date using trackers and Salesforce.
  • Use Salesforce for adding new opportunities, opportunity updates and running reports.
  • Update Proposal/Costing model templates as needed.
  • Help generate order intake data and monthly reporting data.
  • Help generate department KPIs.
  • Join client calls and be involved with proposal discussions as needed.

Essential Skills and experience:

 

  • Experience in proposal writing and/or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Be educated to degree level or higher, ideally in a related scientific/technical discipline.
  • Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
  • Have excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with proposal writing and cost generation.
  • Knowledge of commercial reporting
